Buddy Bike Sport Deluxe (2017)

Buddy Bike's Sport Deluxe is an alternative tandem bicycle that places the stoker (smaller rider) in the front seat while the "Captain" controls the steering in the rear. This light, strong aluminum tandem is the ultimate family bike and can be enjoyed by riders of most ages and abilities. The Sport offers adaptive outdoor recreation and therapeutic activity to riders who may not be able to ride a bicycle safely on their own, or who do not have the strength to pedal a bike by themselves. The Sport Deluxe has a lower front seat so both riders can safely enjoy the view, and it's shorter in length than a typical tandem, so it's no problem to store and transport. To provide the go, Nuvinci's incredible Continuously Variable Planetary transmission hub replaces traditional gears with a spectrum of resistance, allowing you to choose the perfect gear ratio for your route. Tektro disc brakes deliver control for the captain, but the stoker is equipped with a caliper brake, too. 26-inch wheels are tough and stable, and the Kenda tires give you solid traction and a comfortable ride. With the Buddy Bike Sport, riders with cognitive or physical disabilities can enjoy the thrill of cycling with the whole family.
