Academy BMX Origin 18" (2018)

The 2018 Academy BMX Origin 18" is an entry-level BMX bike. Designed for new riders, it's tuned for a perfect fit, with a modest 7.5" riser bar and 152mm crankarms. The build is all BMX: tough, smooth-rolling alloy rims are laced with 36 spokes to sturdy hubs, the rear freecoaster; drivetrain is the traditional 25/9, Academy's own big plastic platform pedals offering a secure stance; and the fat 2-1/8"-wide treads are happy on any smooth surface, pavement, park, or path.
