Fulcrum Wheels s.r.l. designs wheels and components for racing bikes and distributes them in over 30 countries worldwide. The company headquarters are in Arcugnano, in the Berici hills near Vicenza. Fulcrum Wheels s.r.l. was established in July 2004, based on the idea of three aerospace engineers who are passionate about bicycles. The strong points of this young company include the use of unique patents, ongoing technological research, and the attractive and young-spirited design. In its first year of operation, Fulcrum Wheels s.r.l. earned revenues of 6 million euros, with exports accounting for 70%. Fulcrum wheels were initially created for road racing, but in 2008 the Fulcrum family welcomed two important new members: the off-road wheels, which would soon reveal themselves to be worthy of the name, achieving excellent results, and the pedal cranks for racing bikes in carbon fibre, representing the first Fulcrum product for the high-end range of components. Fulcrum Wheels s.r.l. uses only ultralight materials such as aluminium, carbon fibre, and polyaramide, while paying careful attention not to diminish the wheel's strength. Fulcrum has developed a number of systems that are unique in the world: 2:1 Two-to-oneT, for doubling the number of spokes in critical points, Dynamic BalanceT, for obtaining a constantly balanced rotation dynamic, MoMagT, which ensures a durable assembly and perfect spoke holding, and A.F.S. (Axial Fixing System) for complete compatibility with all the off-road disc braking systems. Fulcrum has also entered the world of tubeless road wheels, proposing the innovative 2-Way Fit system: an exclusive rim profile that makes it possible to fit either a tubeless tire or a classic clincher on the same wheel. Right from the start, Fulcrum road wheels earned the trust of great champions, and in the first four years they were first to cross the finish line for four consecutive wins at the world championship: with Tom Boonen in 2005 and with Paolo Bettini in 2006 and 2007, followed by the 2008 victory of Alessandro Ballan. But Fulcrum triumphs are not limited to road races. In 2006 and 2007 Julien Absalon was the world XC champion and in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics he took the gold medal!!
