Breezer Bikes is a manufacturer of mountain and practical bikes. From its early days as a one-man shop making hand-crafted mountain bikes, Breezer has grown to become an international brand, with off-road models from trail hardtails to full-suspension enduro race bikes and city rides for practically every need.

Founded by the legendary Joe Breeze in 1977, its humble beginnings are now a part of mountain bike history. Breeze hand-built ten Series 1 bikes by early 1978; the first is now in the Smithsonian Museum's American History collection. Two more series followed; Breeze's own series 3 bike is now in the US Bicycling Hall of Fame. Breeze himself is a charter member of the US Mountain Biking Hall of Fame, and continues to design Breezer bikes.

In the 90s, Breezer turned its focus towards accessible cycling, beginning with the 1996 Ignaz cruiser, its first model designed for town use. Breeze has been an advocate for transportation cycling for decades, encouraging the promotion of the bicycle as a practical way to travel for athletes and non-athletes alike, and the making of public ways more bicycle-friendly. Since the Ignaz, named in tribute to Ignaz Schwinn, popularizer of the balloon-tired cruiser of the 1930s, Breezer's offerings have expanded considerably; today's lines span from the terrific, award-winning Uptown commuter to the electric-assist Greenway.

The current mountain bike models include hardtail and full suspension builds, all with impeccably chosen kit, reliable and durable groups from Shimano and SRAM. There are no bargain-basement or signature kits; the focus is on sturdy, rideable, affordable bikes. All frames are designed by Joe Breeze.

The city bikes are a course in accessibility. Riders of any fitness can find something perfect for regular use: low-maintenance internally-geared drivetrains, some with belt drive, enclosed chainlines, racks, fenders and lights, geometry from a very relaxed upright to a speedy flat, all-weather brakes, and even an electric pedal assist.

Breezer Bikes makes great rides for off-roading and city transportation. Stop by your local shop and try one out today.
